Bass fishing is good. Anytime the current moves the bass feed. There is a hit or miss top water bite first thing in the morning around grass next to deeper water. Then get out to the deeper brush piles and ledges in the 12 to 15 foot range. Start out using a crankbait and fish for more aggressive fish, especially if there is some current present. With the current water clarity use a Little John MD or DD in the root beer color. Choose which one to use based on how deep the fish are or how deep you are seeing shad on your depth finder. Jigs, Carolina rigs, Texas rigs, shaky heads and drop shots are worth fishing all day. The key is to get the baits in the cover and really fish it slowly. Green pumpkin was the best color for plastics. Big Bite Baits and experiment with different styles of baits as well as weights until you find the exact combination that will draw a strike when the fish are in a neutral or negative mood. Try the Big Bite Baits four inch finesse worm on a shaky head or drop shot using 8 pound fluorocarbon line.
