Fishbuster Charters' Captain Dave Hanson reported, "Mark Kostner fished the backwaters of southern Estero Bay with me on Wednesday morning, 8/28, using shrimp for bait. We had a great morning of good action catching a nice variety of fish. We caught ten keeper-sized black drum to 19 inches, and ten sheepshead, including five keeper-sized sheeps to 18 inches. Mark kept a couple drum and a couple sheepshead for dinner, and released the rest. We also landed five would-be-keeper redfish, if not for the current moratorium on harvesting reds—those ranged in size from 20 inches to 24 inches. We lost an additional two, big reds, which cut-off under the trees. We also released one small mangrove snapper and two15-inch snook."
