Do you notice anything different in the Picture in this Weeks Fishing Report??? If you said, "The Guys are dressed like it's Fall and not Summer!", you would be correct! The Pic is of four Fishermen (Hammond Family) from Saturday's Trip and the early AM temperatures were in the 40's and warmed to the 60's! Boy did it feel good as this was a change from the 90 degree temperatures on Thursday. We were a little concerned on Saturday mornings as 19 Men from a Church Group in Arlington joined us for their annual Fall Fishing Trip. We were dealing with Colder Post Front Temps, a North Wind, High Barometer and a Full Moon and these conditions usually make fishing tough. It was not the case on Saturday as our 5 boat group of Guides cleaned over 350 Catfish for the Men's Group!
We caught all our Blue & Channel Catfish on Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook in the timber on the Richland Creek Arm of the Lake. Most came from water ranging in depth from 15'-25' feet of water and on or near the Creek Channel. Everyone caught fish, went home with lots of fish filets and the Group has already reserved their October, 2020 Fishing Date!!!
If this sounds of interest to you, we have a few October Weekday openings, lots of November dates to be filled and we even have a couple of days in the Thanksgiving Holiday Week needing to be booked! Also, if you're a Veteran or Active Duty Military Person, call about our Veteran's Week Special. Give us a call or email and Let's Go Fishin'!
