LAKE OCONEE IS FULL, CLEAR AND 70S


Bass fishing is fair. The lower lake is clear and it is stained mid lake and up the rivers. Start with a white 1/2 ounce buzz bait fished on the sea walls in the back of the coves and creeks. Switch to a small crank bait after the sun gets up. Use your Lowrance electronics to find concentrations of bait pods in the creeks and fish everything in that area. Use the #7 Rapala Shad Rap and a smaller Rat L Trap in the same areas. Soft plastics under docks will also put a few more fish in the boat. Weed less Wonders lead heads and a Zoom finesse worm in green pumpkin or a Texas rigged zoom U tail worm in green pumpkin will work.
