Bass fishing is good. Top water, crank baits, and spinner baits are working. Small walking top water baits such as the Lucky Craft Sammy in a shad pattern have been good both morning and evening in the backs of creeks around stumps and points. The flat sided crank baits and the spinner baits in a white color. Use these baits when the fish don’t want to come to the top. The key to fishing in the fall is making sure you stay around the bait. Use your Lowrance electronics to find concentrations of bait pods in the creeks and fish everything in that area. A shaky head with a green pumpkin trick worm will catch fish on docks, brush piles, and other wood cover in the creeks when nothing else will.
