Fishing Friends,
Not much change in the fishing last week and that's a good thing as we continue to get a full Ice Chest of Catfish every trip and we're catching a few Big Un's each outing! We did battle the winds a little lately as the Cool Fronts that blow through always have a brisk North Wind and then the next day or so, we get our prevailing South Wind back for a few days. As most of you know, I prefer a little Wind and Cloud Cover for the best fishing, but it hasn't seemed to matter much as to the direction of the Wind or the amount of Cloud Cover. The RC Catfish just keep biting!
On a couple of days when the Wind was a bit stronger than desired, we scratched our long trip up the Richland Creek Arm of the Lake and stayed closer to the Marina where we launch. We found fish in the timber in the Kingswood Cove and also in the Black Forest. These are good areas to fish when you want to stay off the Main Lake and avoid a strong South Wind. On Saturday, we had both boats on the water and made the trip up the Richland Arm to the Crab Creek area and caught our Ice Chests of fish in the timber. Most fish were in depths ranging from 20'-25' feet of water and were caught on Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook fished near the bottom.
Adam and I have plenty of December Weekday openings and even a BOAT AVAILABLE on a couple of upcoming SATURDAYS. We will be fishing during the Holidays and would love to get you, the Family and your Friends on the water for a fun Day of Catchin'! Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
