Lake Cumberland fishing report for February 8, 2020. Due to the recent rains the lake is rising pretty fast and is muddy in a lot of the major creeks striper fishing was doing pretty good fishing in the creek from 15 to 25 feet deep pulling planer boards using shiners and Alewife hearing if you can get them.

Crappie fishing was pretty good but with the rising water it will make them a little difficult till it settles down and clears up some. The bass fishing should remain good with the new water coming into the lake.

The river fishing has been pretty good most days with decent numbers of all kinds of fish. Stripers, walleye, and trout fishing has been good in the books except for a couple of slow days. Dead Shad fished with 1/4 to a 1/2 sinker been the best option. Most signs indicate a good spring fishing season soon to come.

Hope to see you on the water.
    God Bless
