The month of June has gotten off to a good start on Richland Chambers!!! The Summer fishing action was at it's best early last week and the Kiddos, Parents and Grandparents who fished with us went home with plenty of fish filets for their Weekend Fish Fry! Fishing did get a bit tougher on Friday & Saturday as the Wind died, the Skys cleared and the Full Moon all came together to make for a slower bite and us having to look a little harder to find fish. Still, our Customers hung in there, enjoyed the day and caught fish for their Cookouts! 🙂
The fishing should continue like this through much of June with most White Bass and Hybrid Stripers being caught on Slabs and Jig Teasers, and then the Top Water action will kick in gear in late June and July. We are starting to see a little early AM Top Water feeding on the South Shoreline Points and Coves, but it all depends on the weather conditions. If you get a nice breeze & cloud cover, the first hour of the morning can result in some big fish action on Coho's and Rat-L-Traps! After this, head to Pelican Island or the Richland Creek Points and Humps and catch them on Slabs in the 15'-20' FOW range.
We are now booking July and August trips and lots of Weekdays and a few Saturdays are still available! Check us out at www.gonefishin.biz and give us a call at 903-389-4117 if we can be of service!
