Bass fishing is good. The top water bite is still good, and some fish can still be caught fairly shallow early in the morning. Soon the bass will transition to deeper brush and rock piles. This is a good time to beat the crowds and head out fishing after sunset. To locate bass after dark make long casts over main lake points with a Strike King 6XD or a Rapala DT10. Once fish are located we slow down and use a Picasso Rhino head and a green pumpkin Trick Worm or a Texas rigged worm to get into the brush piles. Day fishing use the drop shot for good numbers as well as the jig headed swimbait. We use the Picasso round ball jig head and a 4 inch Keitech swimbait most of the time. Try Galts Ferry north to the Delta for best results.

Line side fishing is good. Big schools of hybrids can be found anywhere from the S turns to as far south as Tanyard Creek. The down rod bite is the most productive bite going on right now. Fishing live shad at depths from 20 to 30 feet is producing from one end of the lake to the other. Our bait of choice has been big threadfins. These fish can be found on your Lowrance on or around most points, humps and flats.
