  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

We've probably all heard the phrase "It's the Dog Days of Summer" and most will agree it's a period of hot, sultry weather or a time when you don't get much work done! The Summer of 2020 has started out with some of those days during the early part of the Season as the temps have soared to the high 90's and even a day or two of triple digit temperatures. However, if you get on the Lake early and have one of our typical nice South breezes, you can still catch fish, stay comfortable and most importantly have FUN! We've done just that the past couple of weeks as we're normally on the Lake by 6:30AM and back at the Dock with a box of White Bass by 10:30 or 11 AM. While we clean fish, our Customers enjoy a Burger at the Marina Lighthouse Cafe and then all are back to the AC by Noon! When you talk fishing, you talk PATTERNS and this is Adam's and my PATTERN for the next couple of months! 🙂

The White Bass and Hybrid Striper action slows just a bit in the Summer so we have to fish a little harder. It's our time of the year to entertain a lot of Families and Kiddos and we expect to get a nice box of fish each outing. We normally begin the morning looking for any Top Water action that may develop on the Main Lake and hope to catch a few fish on Rat-L-Traps. Then we move up the Creeks to fish Points and Humps where the White Bass can be caught on Slabs and Jigs. The one consistent thing about Summertime fishing is that it seems that no two days in a row are the same! Hang in there and you'll go home with plenty of fish for a Fish Fry! 🙂

The Dog Days of Summer are here, but you can still catch fish! Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
