What a GREAT WEEK it was on Richland Chambers as I fished Monday thru Saturday, was able to get all out trips in and most were with Customers who have been fishing with us for 10-15 years. The weather was nice with a good breeze every morning and THE FISH BIT VERY GOOD!!! 🙂 Many think the Summertime is not the time to catch fish as it's too hot or the fish don't bite good, but that's not the case on RC! As long as you have a little breeze (and some mornings you get really lucky and have some nice cloud cover) the fish will cooperate.
This past week we continued to fish for White Bass each outing, but on three trips we also put the Catfish rods in the boat and did some fishing for Mr. Whiskers. The Catfish aren't the large Blues and Channels you'll catch in the Fall and Winter, but they are "Eater Size", fun to catch and are very good fried up with hush puppies! While the White Bass fishing will sometimes slow a bit as we move more into the Summer and Fall, the Catfishing will only get better. We continue to catch most of the White Bass on a 1 oz. RSR Slab with a Jig Teaser on Humps & Points in 15' FOW and the Catfish were all caught on Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook fished in 20' FOW.
Adam and I are now booking trips for August and September and would love to get you on the calendar. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
