    Question for a moderator?

I have recieved an actual video of a night shift (utlizing night vision) of 3 Iraqi's preparing for an ambush on an American convoy . They are shown throwing weapons into a field and pacing off from where they were going to (an I do mean going to) set up a bomb. Little did they know they were being watched with night vision from 2.5 miles away by the USA. At the proper time the word was given and you see a automatic 40mm canon take out all three guys . My question is can I post this on the board and if so how do I do it?

If you are allowed to post this video on here all you would have to do is copy and paste the link.

Why would anyone want to watch something like that?

Thumbs up Re: Question for a moderator?

Believe it or not, most would to see what is actually goin on over in Iraq. To see exactly what our military are up against day in and day out... What would you rather it be a dead Iraq soldier or a dead American Soldier.... I have seen this video, that is being spoken of..and it is a great piece of filming and shows what happens to bad guys....

Neither. I wish our GIs weren't over there dying to keep gas prices down. I think that's a shame and they are honorable and courageous men fighting a misguided war that never should have been started.

And it's a shame any time someone raises a whimper of protest they get the Old Glory smackdown seen in your quote. I won't speak for gurl, but I don't don't believe we do ourselves any good by glorifying war in the first place, and that's what these videos do.

And I'm not sure you want your logic pressed to its ultimate conclusion. If you want to advocate watching the video because it presents the reality of war, are you also ready to advocate posting videos of killed GIs having their bodies torn apart in the streets of Baghdad or Mosul? That's war too.

Let's be honest - the real reason people watch these types of videos is the same reason people watch porn - it's a guilty pleasure. Check out the emoticons in the original post. It's exciting to watch someone die.

    Not for me, thanks.

I don't want anyone to be killed. Furthermore, I really, really do not want to WATCH anyone be killed and I can't understand the mentality of those who do.

You don't have to see these videos to know what's going on over there. The other side is planting bombs and ambushes and the U.S. side is trying to stop them. You shouldn't have to need a video showing people getting shot to realize that.

    Good points.

I would also question whether we really want to be posting snuff films on a family site. The videos are out there. People can find them if they want them. I see no reason to post them here too.

Peter's the man and what he says goes ----but I thought this was an "Off Topic" board of Fishin.com.... perhaps one of the other fishing websites will host it.... I personally do not want to view it having been there, done it, and got the t-shirt; however, let's not censor what others want to view ____ AFTER ALL, that's why we are over there killing the enemy for FREEDOM ---- the right to live life as we all choose (not for gas prices)..... tight lines

    Re: Question for a moderator?

Dover I thank you for your service.

Respectully, though: there are dozens of places in the world we could go and fight the same type of fanatics we're fighting in Iraq, and numerous dictators who make Saddam look like George Washington.

We're in Iraq--we care about Iraq at all--because it's sitting on top of billions of barrels of oil. If the CIA knew the radical Islamists would keep the oil flowing after they took over the country, we'd be out of there tomorrow.
