Lake Springfield
I am just getting back into fishing after a long (years) hiatus. My home is close to Lake Springfield. Any tips on fishing for white bass on Lake Springfield? Also, I see that there are Walleyes in Lake Springfield. Does anyone have any experience catching Walleyes in Lake Springfield?

RE: Lake Springfield
Welcome Back "Famman"
I am not all that familar with Lake Springfield. Have only fished it once (Youth Bass Tournament). Really like it.
There is a regular report posted on 'Larry's Fishing Hole'

Currently stating "WhiteBass are FAIR-GOOD early on twister tails at Lindsey Bridge and around beach area. "
Know on Shelbyville catch a lot on jigging spoons.
Watch where the gulls are getting after the shad. You'll find white bass close by if not just under the shad.
Hope this will help. Maybe some others taht fish Springfield will jump in and give you better help.

RE: Lake Springfield
Thank you for the information.
I have not fished with jigging spoons but do have some Bomber Slab Spoons coming from Bass Pro Shops. Do you have any recommendations for size, color or brand for jigging spoons?
I noticed that Larry's Fishing Hole report on Lake Springfield does not include Walleyes. Anyone out there with experience fishing for Walleyes in Lake Springfield?
Thank you,
David G. (famman)
