My taxidermist sent me 3 options for the layout of my PB (12lb 8oz) replica mount.
Which do you like? #1, #2 or #3.....?
All 3 are using the same piece of driftwood and he placed a paper name plate where the real one will be placed.

Dude, 12.8, nice!! My vote is for number 2. Be sure to post a pic of the finished mount.
I like #2 also for some reason. Great fish!!
Great fish #2 also
I wouldn't mount anything under 13# but to each his own. Hahahahaha. #2.
#2. Where did you catch it at?
Number 2 will look great. Are replicas cheaper than mounting the actual fish? I have heard they last longer plus not killing such a great fish is always best in my opinion. Look forward to seeing the finished result.
Thanks. It should be complete by the end of February and then my smallmouth mount by May. I'll post pics when I get it up on the wall.

Chick.
It was an unreal trip... I broke my PB 5 times in 4 days. I had a 34lb 8oz five fish bag one day, a 35lb five fish bag the next day and then on the last day of the trip I caught just one single fish, but it was the 12lb 8oz gorilla!!! My best 5 fish for the 4 day trip was 47lb! Had a 12lb 8oz, 9lb 4oz, 9lb 4oz, 8lb and 8lb.
I have 5 trips planned there the next 3 months, my goal is another DD. With that 14.53lb that was caught around New Years, Chick is going to get even more pressure....
