Guntersville Fishing report 04/02/06

Nothing happening at the dam(last week I talked to two guys that took a 16 and 22 lb stripers, but the generators were not running this morning) so drove to Waterfront Tackle area, the bass were REALLY active, lots of top water action, watched a couple of bass in about 2 feet of water, one was about 2 lbs, other was 3-4, I spooked the bigger one pretty quick, the smaller one would not move far from the spot, even when I actually hit it with a plastic worm, is this bass spawning?

I will be hitting Lanier in a couple of weeks for 4 days of striper fishing, caught a 12lber there two weeks ago trolling live trout

This is my first post here, sounds like you guys know what you are talking about, I have been fishing off-on at G'Ville for 30yrs, but never really a serious fisherman, no tournaments, etc
