i think his first name was ted and he was some kind of athlete{sp}. great motor though. had one on the stern of my 22 morgan sailboat and went to the bahamas several times w/it. best motor i ever owned. never had to use it. but once! and after 2 weeks below decks it pulled us out of hell.
