SM on the flie: South Central Ky
Well, with all the good weather, makes an old man want to get out and cast a line. Been thinking about SM in the creeks. Got the fly rods lined up and ready to go. So... Anybody have suggestions for Cumberland River Area (South Fork, or below Wolf Creek Dam; Marrowbone creek, etc...? All help appreciated. :D
Re: SM on the flie: South Central Ky
I am interested in this myself. I got my first fly rod this winter and have been working on my cast. I am itching to catch some SM on it.

I fish Wolf Creek a lot and have only caught one dink smallmouth ever. I would focus on the Elkhorn of you want smallies.
I haven't pulled the photo yet but I caught a 3lb smallie on my 5wt on Old Hickory Lake last weekend. It was a great fight.

Thanks for the reply, also thinking Elkhorn Creek is a better choice. Couple more miles longer and that creek would have been known as the Elkhorn River! :D
Still, have a couple of creeks that feed the Cumberland that I have to check out.
