I am new in the area. After a little online research I have found that there are two places in Lexington that allow for Trout Fishing. The Horse Park pond and West Hickman Creek. Any tips to ensure success would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, those two places do have Rainbow Trout stocked in them. There's also Jacobson Park Lake (East Richmond Rd) and the Southland Church Lake (Harrodsburg Rd just over the Jessamine Co line) that are also designated as FIN's lakes.

I've caught them on Crappie Nibbles, pieces of nightcrawler, and even on chicken liver. Even caught them on a Road Runner. (all were caught while fishing at Jacobson Park Lake)
