KY lake 4/9- 4/12
Fished Monday afternoon in Rhodes Bay looking for crappie without success. Tuesday morning caught 8 nice crappie, a saucer and a lot of small bass. Afternoon caught a lot of small bass with 2 keepers including one about 5. Wed found some white bass in Jonathon creek and caught limits and again on Thursday. Lots of small bass but only 1 more keeper. All fat healthy looking fish. Majority of the bass caught on ned rig very slow and very light bite.

Almost exactly the same.......
Fishing was slow, really slow. we caught 37 on Friday, with 2 or 3 keepers.....and a whole lot of short fish. We started on Barkley, then trailered to smith and then trailers to sugar. We caught more fish once it calmed down a little, but man, it was BRUTAL in those 20 mph with gusts to 40.
Saturday we were back to Sugar Bay, as it is a pretty good area when you're LOCKED in. We fished that most the day, and managed to catch 31 and a small bag of keepers.....12 lbs, I think. Also pretty slow.
Sunday we fished North Barkley, but with a 30 degree drop in temps, we didn't fish much :) We left by 10 and headed home.
Everything was caught on soft plastics. A buddy did catch a couple on jerkbaits on KY, but not many.
Later,
Geo

Is the gravel road into Sugar Bay in pretty good shape. I was afraid after all this spring rain it would be washed out a little. thanks
