Current - Time Frame
What is the time frame of the current when they kick it on to 65000. How long before you start noticing fish getting "turned-on" by the clock and also in distance? Example: 1 hour - Smith Bay, 3 - Blood River, etc. etc. Can you tell generally or is every day a new situation?

Re: Current - Time Frame
It is normally new every day...also the numbers you are seeing on flow is an average number...it may be on for 10 minutes during that hour at a higher rate than the average you are seeing and off the other 50 minutes. I don't ever believe them anyway until I am on the water and the current starts to move..then I know it is moving..lol.

Re: Current - Time Frame
Good question..........Have often wondered how long it would take to get the current moving around 68 bridge after the generation flow picks up at the dam. When the flow begins at dam it takes awhile before the river swells miles downstream.....would think the same (in reverse) would hold true above the dam too. Seems it would take awhile before the water would start moving "uplake" as well. Seems like the flow just above the dam would be somewhat immediate....and the farther "uplake" you go it would be delayed. Doesn't this seem logical ?

Re: Current - Time Frame
Guess there are many factors that come into play...BUT....at a constant generation flow of 65000 cfs should you expect considerable current at bridge in 1 hour?
