What part of the KY River are you wanting to get to? There are several ramps in Carrollton that will put you on the Ohio river and Kentucky is right there. You can only go up to lock 1 on the KY River though. The lock is no longer operational so you can't go past that. Above lock 1 there is supposedly a camp ground somewhere that has a ramp to get onto the river, I'm not sure where that is though.
I would like to go above lock 1.

Is that the ramp that goes down to that little creek or is there one that goes straight to the river? I've travelled 355 a lot and that is the only ramp I can think of.

yes that's the one.... I normally troll out to the main river...
I think I know that ramp. Is that the one called Perry Point, or Percy Point or something, between Lock & Dam 2 and 3?

not really sure of the name of the ramp.... but if you miss it you go right to perry park resort and golf course..
I almost was afraid to tell him where it was because it's real easy to miss... He may get back on here and say i put him on a wild goose chase...

How far is the main river from the ramp? Is that creek deep enough to handle a 21' pontoon boat when it is at its regular stage? I was only on it when it was way up and went upstream.

my brother inlaw and i launch his 20 triton with no problem... it would handle it but you may want a 4x4 to get it back out with.. the ramp is alittle steep and slick at times.. i love going there because if you go during the week you have the place to yourself most the time..
What is the bass fishing like up there?
