High blue bird sky’s water temp 56 around
State dock area. I found good numbers each day
keep in mind I live here an can get in a few hours fishing every day,
(Which I do)
so by talking to regulars an being out there, is key
What is working for me going to places, deep Water channel banks not
more than a couple hundred yards away, hopefully
there is something distinct about this area.
This helps my success understanding these area an knowing
Of several more just like it then work the pattern.
What worked was settting up,
Using shad, free open spool, split shot
8lb test. Hooks not that important I like a wire hook
that accommodates the size bait I’m using,
toss it out an let it do its thing, I may leave one rod out for
15 min. A second rod fan the area every 5-6 minute s. See which
Works.

That sounds like what we do in the spring but around the flats. These fall trips with the live bait we used a 1/4 ounce worm sinker above a barrel swivel and the about 18 inch leader with a circle hook. I think I will use the split shot method your using on my next fall trip. Thanks Rick

Still glass like conditions with blue bird sky.
We had to move but most places gave up a few nice ones.

Hey, nice catches. I was not planning a Dale Dec trip this year. Was not in the cards, but I changed my nexst weekend at the last minute, so I will be down at Dale Dec 1,2, 3,4.
What does the water look like around County Line, and Ashburn Creek?
How about Turnover. I'm hearing some creeks are turning while others are not.
How about Mid lake.......any turnover there yet? Is it done in any areas....yet .
Thanks.

It wasn't turning yet mid lake last wed. Water temps between 58-60. I doubt there will be any cooler water with the temps this week. I'll be down this weekend to try it out again. Had a pretty good day last week so hopefully we can again.

Much clearer
The difference between clarity at State Dock
and the mouth of Sulpher is night an day
dirty dingy at State.
Toward Ashburn dingy also

Thanks Rick. Jumping in the truck in about 30 minutes to head that way. Probably start in Sulfur and head to main lake the towards state dock area. Already loaded up with live bait.
