Can't beat XL for night IMHO
The whole trick with vacuum sealers is to remove ALL water and I even put a paper towel folded a couple times right before the seal point to gell all the air and water out.
You can thaw them in no...
I use my Tater Gun! LOL
They're all over..everywhere!
Get too close and I will guarantee you will not catch another fish and you'll be too busy trying to hang onto your rod as it's leaving your...
Is this a troll? LOL
Seriously...if you catch a 5 pound smallmouth trolling vs. casting...what's the diff?
It's still fishin'!
Great line...a little strecth but, less than others. I see it well in daylight.
It has low memory and good abrasion resistance.
Transparent Tenn Shad is a great color we use here in Ohio for Saugeye and the Chartruese Gizzard Shad is also hot...all in the 300 Series.
The TTS color is also great for bass due to the black head...
If you do...I'd ferry out and stay around the island.
I don't go by temp...postspawn is when I hit ledges for summer bass ;)
Just go slow....I'd even try bobbers. Seen two 5's over the weekend caught on bobbers and big creek minnows.
There's times in the Spring and Fall that if your not draggin' a shiner, your not getting bit.
And then there's times when artificial will outfish live bait...depends on the fish and time of year....
Like I said, you'll be fine;)
Hot Sauce
You'll be fine at that time....probably not til the end of April (usually)
Absloutely Baitcast for spinnerbaits!
You'll never be as accurate or smoother and get off lots more cats without the problems of spinning.
Spinners work on all fish!
Hmmmmm that be tricky!
The spot on the tongue says Spot but, the rest of it looks like a LM.
Could be a cross.
Would bet it was a Sculpin also....
Geez Red...GET OVER IT!
There's only two colors...
Greenpunkinseed
Brownpunkinseed
;)
I beleive it's more of a confidence thing too....
I think they just see different colors and lighter as darker hues.
I usually let the water color tell me what I'll be using.
I also think that red...
It'll either be from Pardee or from Lake Erie ;)
yep...retie.
I do usually have two or more rods already rigged like others.
Snaps and swivels dampen the action IMHO
It is good line BUT, it ain't worth two dead flies for line watchin!
I only use it for crankin and topwater;)
Remember warm winds can change things...if they're out of the west for a few days, fish the eastern coves and verse/visa ;)
I like late March/early April but ,Mother Nature can be mean at times.
The upper end (kentucky side) will warm the quickest but, just about any of the coves on the North side will warm quickly also. Wind, sun, water clarity and depth among other things also effect what...
I'm from Ohio also and it seems that the harder the winter, the better the late March/early April time seems. If the winter is kind of mild, the bite seems better the first few weeks of April...then...
Uh...Dude...it was a joke!
Don't get your flannel unerwear in a wad!
I've been fishing Dale Hollow 40 of my 48 years and that slot was the best thing they ever did to Dale and it's only getting better.
So sorry to inform you that I'll be down this weekend to make sure you all behave! LOL
Oh I ain't takin' it personal for sure because I can guarantee I am NOT part of the problem.
Most of the "knuckleheads" I see are local yocals.
At least Ohio has a Navy! LOL
WTF?
You saying Ohio boaters are bad? Better turn that mirror around haas!
I usually don't use a trailer until the water temps get above 70.
It gives a more compact profile and I think the bait at spawn time is not as big as later in the year.
When I do use a...
I found it is great for crankin only. I also do not have a prob with kinks or memory. In fact it lays flat from what I've found...it does have a little more strectch but, found that works great for...
My username is on the front of my console of my boat and on my boat trailer with reflector letters..so if ya' see me, stop and say hello anytime ;)
I guess I'm lucky (or not)....
I can't get away from mine because SHE's got the disease worse than I do!
When she caught her first 5 lb. smally..it was all over with :)
So..I go as much as I want.
How long is the shaft...my buddy is looking for an upgrade for his DV16?
Do you still have this TM ?
Hilarious :)
Listen to these guys.
Most in the know can tell you it can be very tough at times even for someone who's fished it all their life. ;)
Get a guide and go floatn'flyin!
Then start pickin brains and...
An absolute killer here where I am is take a 1/4 oz. jighead in either chartruese or pink or red head with a 3" chartruese twister tail with the tail pinched off. Then tip the jig with a bass minnow...
Thanx again for the info...I had a pretty good idea that it may be happening now....I call Stephen this afternoon to see what he knows.
Good fishin' to ya'
TEE

Thanx for the reply BTW.
TEE
Just trying to find out when it turns over...anyone?
Anyone have the latest temps ?
Thanx in advance,
TEE
We were down last week and the lake is down from winter pool (not exactly sure but, guestimate it down 6 feet below wiinter pool and temps were 69 to 70.
You should hit it about right....go get some...
Just spent last week there and it's a lil' tough.
The ramps at Pleasent Grove and Holly Creek are useable but, be careful at the ends of the ramps due to drop offs.
Temps are still 70 during the...
Thinkin' about comin' down...any idea what the temps are now since the cool rains?
Thanx in advance,
TEE
THANK YOU SIR!
That's exactly what I'm looking for....now I can judge my trip accordingly as long as we don't have an Indian summer here soon.
Thanks again and FISH ON !
