Thanks for the info Pappy! I’m gonna try to get down there this week. If I do, I’ll give a report.
How’s the bite at T-ville? How deep are they right now? Thanks for any help!
Marineworks on Herrington Lake.
Thanks jfw.
Thanks for the help Peter.
Where can I get shad or shiners for in Jamestown/Russell Springs? What is the best to get? Also will Alabama rigs work or is live bait the best option? Like to go Sunday morning and try it out. Any...
Any open tourneys on cave run this weekend ?
Just wanted to let everybody know how we did. Fished Friday afternoon, most of the day Saturday, and a few hours Sunday morning. The rain and cold front turned the crappie off. Fished from Kenlake to...
Thanks kydog for the report too. Glad you got on em! Hope I do as good as you did. I hear the black crappie are moving shallow in good numbers.
Thanks for the info guys. I took Dave's class about 5-6 years ago. You're right George, it does help a lot. It puts you in the high percentage areas in a nutshell. Thanks again for the help.
Anybody catching crappie on Ky? What depth and method is working right now? I'm bringing my 8 year old down to crappie fish this coming weekend and would like to get on a decent bite to keep her...
Looking for water conditions, temps, maybe a report on either. Going Sunday and trying to decide which one. I will be fishing for bass and crappie. Thanks.
Hey Jabbo, sent you a pm
Havent fished for redear in there but used to crappie fish in there several years ago. Should be good in there quite a bit of gravel in there. I taking my little girl down there to do the same thing...
I dont like the double take hooks myself. I use the gamakatsu non weighted hooks with the screw lock. I reel it just fast enough to keep it on top like a buzzbait. The point of the single hook goes...
Chad Harpole in Georgetown had a hds-8 for sale for 1450.00. Don't have his phone # but his screen name on here is Bood. Same on Fastbass and BBC if you cant find him.
Nickel Branch definitely. It would be better for tourneys for all the reasons mentioned and for other fisherman as well being close to the canal and access to both lakes. I can't imagine why you...
Try some of the humps and creek channel bends in Eddy Creek. Same lures as Ky Lake. If they are there, you can probably do the same thing in Little River and Prizer Point. Definitely stay in the...
I agree with the idea of the fry needing cover and the lack of it. Also, we had 2 springs in a row with a lot of rain and fluctuating water levels. That very well could have affected the spawn yhe...
Lowrance lcx-18 for sale. Worked the last time I used it but I don't have any cables or transducer, Gps unit only. $200. Also have a nonworking lms 330. Lowrance will give $50 credit toward...
Lowrance all the way. If your cables are Lowrance with the gray ends, I"ve got a Lcx-18 gps/fishfinder Id sell for $200. Also got a nonworking lms 330 Lowrance will give $50 trade in for.
Anybody know the results of the open tourney today?
+1 on what Art said. Screw lock hook and give them a second before you hit em. In addition, I only throw it on braid bedcause of throwing it around timber and grass. Cuts thru the grass real well.
Thanks, thats pretty much how it was while I was there. Mud line was just past the shallow flats and water was 46. Gonna give it a couple more weeks.
Anybody got a report on water condition and are the bass biting?
I was told a couple days ago you can go under the bridge except where the section is missing. still a concern about debris in the water I guess.
Ive gone on 3 trips with Lance Sasser and every trip has been good! I'm sure most of the guides down there are good, but i would have a hard time going with someone else. Super nice guy as well as...
+1 on the braid.
Who runs it? Got some stuff to donate.
Thanks for the info. Can't wait till the water gets a little warmer and the bite picks up.
Anybody got a report on the bite, water temp, etc?
That is a MONSTER of a deer! Would love to have seen what he weighed!
Looking for a place in the bear zone(Pike, Letcher, Harlan counties) to hunt. Anybody on here have a place there or might know somebody that does, let me know. Would like to go and get away from the...
Was wondering the same thing.
Depends on what you want to do. If you want to fish a team tourney, which is most common, find someone with some experience willing to partner up with you and learn that way. That's how I learned...
Went last week and 2 fish on jig in about 10ft of water. Biggest about 2lbs. Everyone else I talked was struggling too.

Ok, so far this thread is nothing but guesses, opinions, questions, and slander. So far not one person in this thread was there and fished or had a raffle ticket. I understand ther are a lot of...
Lower portion of the lake is best, usually from Wolf Creek to the dam. Main lake to front half of the creeks. As for technique, I would say live trolling live shad/shiners/alewives would be hard to...
IMO, you'd be better off with a used boat. you can get a 20-21fter thats 4-5 yrs old for that kind of money. You can find a lot of 19ft 07's in that range and probably still have some wty on them....
Probably about it on speed for that boat. Engine height or prop change would be the cheapest and easiest things to try. Upgrade to bigger engine(unless your at maximum hp rating) would cost a lot...
Fished the BFL there this past weekend. Plenty of small fish shallow, but the better fish are still 9-12ft deep. fish the creek channels in the bays and you'll catch some better fish.
That was my thought, around 6 with the head of an 8+.
Don't really know anything about a Gambler so I can't say anything about it. The other 3 are top quality boats. Like I said in my p.m., the 21'10" Bullet has a better rough water ride than any boat...
Congrats to you Dave and the UK Bass Fishing Team. I know these young men will learn a great deal from you about the sport. Anyone who has fished with Dave or taken his course knows he has a great...
Lance Sasser out of Grider Hill Marina. Gone out 2 years in a row with him. I promise you will not be disappointed. He's a super nice guy, very knowledgable, and stays on the fish real well.
