The bite has been very slow
I went and caught fish in main lake around 80 feet seemd best. Bait was awful to get

Yea you can fish that side from the bank but keep in mind that is actually the shallow side of the river. Fishing is way better on the other side in my experience

If you were fishing right below the lock that is a great spot. Use cut shad there and cast as close to the dam in the current. We've been catching a bunch down there.
