Found that out the hard way.
I've caught a lot of short fish out of there.
There was an article in the paper last year about a guy that caught a 5lb LM right by the ramp.
If you go during the week then you could go to the ramp at the state park (Possum Ridge).
Otherwise you would be best to go to the Van Buren Ramp.
I watched the show last night. It was good. The segment seemed awlful short the way it was edited. The spent 15 minutes bow fishing on Nolin and 4minutes on one of our best waters with one of our...

Hillman's Ferry on the North end of the trace probably will have a site available. With electric possibly.

There are some Smallies. Good trout and Bluegill there too.
The lake is very clear, a lot like Cumberland in characteristics.
It's tough sometimes.
It's only a short drive (10-15min) from the state park to Smith's Ridge rec area that has a good ramp ad is at the end of the lake so you wouldn't get beat up to bad from the boat traffic. Much...
Smith's ridge is great. In the woods with bathhouse, and electric. You have to drive to the lake.
Pike's ridge is right on the water. Great place to camp fish and boat. Some electric but no bath...
No HP limit. There are 4 ramps for the lake Possum Ridge (state park) Settelers Trace (marina), Chowning Ln. & Van Buren both with courtesy docks and that's it.
If you are going to rent a canoe / kayak be sure to deal with Canoe Kentucky. They are very reasonable and provide shuttle service to the put in and you can take out right at there shop.
That way...
Thx greenriver. That's the info that I've been looking for.
Well I know that you don't need one at Mammoth Cave for example because it's a "National Park". Thought it might be the same over in Indiana.
Hi all. This is my first post but, I have been lurking around for a couple of years now. Does anyone know if you need a license to fish in the Hoosier National Forest? I am going camping / kayaking...
