    the bay fishin can be awesome as well. around the bridge pilings, big Red fish gather in the summer and early fall. fish to 40 lb.

    Just inside of the bridge, on the Fort Walton side, between the shallow water over the "island" and the bridge is some deeper holes that Reds hold in. Fish live croakers on the bottom.

    The full moon of April or May. I have stayed at Eagles Nest many times and they have as good or better accomadations, boats, deal, etc.

    friday 3/17,while bass fishing on Wilson below Wheeler Dam. My fishing partner landed a estimated 70 lb Blue Cat. Lite action rod and 8 lb test mono. 40 minute battle.
