i started using the p-line cx premium a few months back. its a flouro coated copolymer. i like it a lot.
I started using one this year after watching my back boater miss fish after fish after fish early spring on Barkley. I had a great deal of luck with it in the spring and early summer, but not so...
I flip with vanish transitions. Its very sensitive, you can see it and i havent broken a single fish off with it. The thing I don't like is its not black light friendly.
A good line that is, is...
don't be greedy..........
I don't loosen my drag when I get home unless I'm not fishing for at least a month.
Well, sometimes I loosen the drag on my partner's reels just to mess with him before we hit the water.
i dunno, but the way i see it is if its water(posted or not) i'll fish it until a wildlife officer tells me I can't.
club classic in Barkley this weekend. i'm hoping they're biting, but if they aren't i'll be throwing a jig.
revo all the way... I love mine
I can fish and listen to all the football games on my sat radio.
I can't believe that tracker won't fix that under warranty. the boat is still under warranty right?
When I moved to Hawaii a few years back, the movers put a forklift thru the side of my tin boat....
Took a break from painting the house this weekend and had a decent day on KY lake. Caught a 3 pounder on my 2nd cast and then caught a 4 pounder on the next one. Got into a school of hybrid stripers...
Largemouth- 6.5lbs on black and blue jig on lake barkley
Smallmouth- several over 6lbs on spinnerbaits and devil's horse on Dale Hollow
Spot- 3.4 lbs on a poe's crank on Lake Barkley
29th
TBF is out of Paris landing. I don't see any ABA scheduled for KY lake that weekend.
I buy some locally made ones around here that are much cheaper and in my opinion just as good if not better. I love them on Kentucky lake in the winter.
you aren't the only one....
next weekend is going to be nasty.
I heard there's a BFL, FLW Federation State tourney, and a Fishers of Men regional on KY lake. anyone know any truth to the BFL and Fishers of Men?
good luck!
I love the fall on Ky and Barkley. Hunting season makes it that much better!
I can't wait to get one on FnF. my personal best was on a firetiger devilshorse. oooo nothing like a big smallie blowing up on a topwater.
grats man, that's a nice fish. I've got 8 that are over 5 (3 over 6) and its always fun. makes you want to go after them all the time.
I met Ike last year at Santee Cooper and he's a great guy. He enjoys talking to everyone interested in talking to him. As far as his actions go, nothing compared with the "professionals" in other...
I fish the football jigs on ledges and points that are primarly chunk rock with some cover. Fish it just like a carolina rig with a slow drag and short pops when it hangs up.
they say if you cook them very well, the parasites won't harm you. screw that, i'm not eating it.
you should have called the game warden and let them handle it. otherwise, the jerks that did it will probably do it again.
dammit i'm trying to eat lunch...
black helocopters? hehe
everyone has provided some really good information. Really the only thing i can say would be to pay attention to the contour lines on both your paper map and the gps. the ledge doesn't always have to...
if the mayflies are hatching, don't use the blacklight or you'll be shoveling them out of the boat for the next month.
I might have tried it with a shad rap on ky lake a couple of years ago with no luck.....
ugh $300 my house to lake fork.......
i've never had any problems with it. until last week........
I've seen the Tennessee game wardens go right down the main lake on Barkley and Ky and stop every boat he sees. When he checked me, he asked for all safety equipment, registration and fishing...
6' spinning rod with 8-10lb vanish and a mustad 3 or 4/0 hook. I've never caught a fish on a c-rigged fluke.
as far as blades go, i don't use them in the summer, but had some very good days this...
best advise, don't go. god i hate that lake..........
Its a badge used to show off how many fish you caught over the weekend, kind of like bragging. If you like bass thumb, you should try peacock bass thumb...
I used to watch Keith Warren and laugh...
I made one for my 295 out of a kitchen cutting board and the golf club tubes. had trouble getting the spinning rods in, but other than that they were awesome.
the rodlocker on my 195 is a little...
i agree. especially during or right after a new moon.
sounds like the "one too many budweisers monster"
"black" submarine? hehe
BFL out of Ken Lake,
Women's Bassmasters out of the Dam...
I think I'll be night fishing
painted or unpainted?
big black buzzbait, black jitterbug, big black spinnerbait, 10" worms in red shad.
Tropycats. You da man!!!
wow. I've never seen one in sugar bay.
my old 92 Johnson did that too. After 5 or 6 carb jobs and 2 tune ups, I discovered that if I bumped the choke in for a split second while getting up on plane, it wouldn't bog down. Sadly I sold the...
Had the same thing on Fenton Ramp on KY this past Saturday except the boat was a small tracker type boat. took him 5 min to get the boat straight on the ramp, then he took up both lanes.
A few years back, dad got a devil's horse stuck deep in the back of my knee. I tried to get it out for about half an hour and just took the hook out of the bait and went back to fishing. Went to the...
Lots of differing opinions here.
The guys had every right to say no. I probably would've backed off and watched the pro, maybe learned something. But I know when/where the big tourneys are going...
