A20 is great. They take good care of their customers.
I would go with a Denali Jadewood. They have a great warranty and are a well made rod.
Eric H.
What is the address of the store?
Thanks.
I am sure that A2O in Clarksville has them.
St. Croix is sold.
Price drop on Rogue to $75.
I have 2 rods for sale:
Rogue - spinning- 7' MH - SJ704S - Good tube and light jig rod in great condition - $85
St Croix - casting- 7' M - Premier PC70MF - Good all purpose rod in good...
Morruum is sold.
I have a few reels I would like to sell:
Abu Garcia Morruum - 5.1:1 round reel. It is in great shape mechanically and cosmetically. $75
Shimano CU200B5 - 5.1:1 old green curado. Great for cranking....
$40 per team. Safelight plus 8 hours. Take-off in order of registration. 5 fish limit per team.
The IBF Trail classic went out of Cutright and only had 40 boats.

Last I heard the main ramp at Cutright is still underwater but the high water ramp is fine. I would also assume that the road across the back of Moore's Creek is underwater.
Try trimming down a little before you try turning?
It was Zone 2's Top 8 tournament. I believe the overall leader had around 25 pounds for the 2 days. There was only 17 clubs in it but 770 pounds of fish were caught.
Crooked Creek opens 4/1, Pine Grove opens 4/15.
When you are running full speed the hydrofoil should be out of the water so it should not affect top end.
You might be able to use a bigger prop since it will help you get on plane, but you won't...
Try as you may, but I think that is about all you will get. Ran my JP from 3-1/2 to almost 2-1/2 and never got 60. What it lacks in speed, it will more than make up in ride. You will spend a ton...
I had an 89 201 with an 88 200 on it and that was within a couple miles per hour of what I was getting. From what I was told those were heavy boats to start with and then the foam sometimes picks up...
They made the comment during the show they are all ready looking into a way to divide the room up for next year. Just to seperate the food and advertisers and the speakers.
Eric H.
I second Honey Creek. Good people and fair prices.
That is the beauty about all of this. We don't have to agree. The folks that run the lake obviously don't agree with you, and they are the only folks that matter.
Horsepower restrictions are ridiculous. No sense in them at all. They are on the right path by limiting and controlling the number and size of tournaments. I don't think any additional rules will...
I'm not really looking for reels in excellent condition. I'm looking for old, used, or even damaged reels. Possibly even reels that are just for parts.
Thanks,
Eric H.
I am looking to buy some Shimano bait cast reels. They need to be right hand retrieve. Would prefer the old green curado's. Condition is not that important as long as they haven't been in salt...
Can you send some pictures to hardestyeric at netscape.net
Thanks.
Thank you.
Every year the IBF put on a benefit tournament for Riley Hopsital. This year it is June 20. It will be an Monroe. Here is a link to the entry form:...
Before you spend too much you might try putting a new primer bulb on it. Sometimes they get old or weak and let the fuel drain back out of them.
I think the only way you can get more is to have some prop work done. Mark Croxton in Shelbyville IN can blue print a prop and usually get more out of it. I really don't know if there is that much...
Our first tourney will be this Sunday at Monroe. Hope to see some of you there.
Thanks,
Eric H.
It never hurts to take the top cap off and check where the wires make the bend to go into the shaft. Sometimes they will rub a bear spot right there. If it is something that you can't figure out on...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Crooked Creek was closed until April 1st?
The entry fee is $95 per team plus $5 big bass. You will also need to join the NBAA.
Thanks,
Eric H.
We are starting an NBAA Weekend series at Monroe this year. It is a team format. Here is the schedule (all events are at Monroe):
5/2/10 Cutright Ramp Safelight + 8 hours
6/6/10 Cutright...
I had a 1988 Johnson 200 and as long as I kept it below 5000 rpms it didn't use that much gas. Keep your foot out of it, take extra weight (tackle) out, make sure your set-up is right on, and make...
I found some wax at wall mart that had teflon in it. It was on clearance and did a real good job. Inbetween waxes I use Bass Boat Saver and it kept the shine real well.

Ray's show is Jan. 30 and 31 at the Johnson County fair grounds in Franklin, IN. It is a pretty good show.
Eric H.
A couple things that I picked up on the other site are to make sure you order them dry (no lube). After you get them remove the shields and put the bearings in acetone or some other type of...
I haven't yet, but I asked the same question on another board and was told that they were definitely worth the money. I just haven't broken down and spent the money to try them myself yet.
I carry 3 different cranking rods. One is a 6'6" BPS rod, one old Lew's 7', and one 7'6" Loomis. In all honesty, if I'm throwing cranks that go deeper than 10' that Lew's is the best one. I can...
I heard, and it is just a rumor also, that you will have to register your tourney with the city since they run the lake. Heard there were too many tourneys and that it was overly crowded. You...
Last year I heard that they moved the close date to Dec. 1. That is old info so you might give them a call. The lake is ran by the city so you might call Waveland.
Eric H.
Can you shoot me an e-mail hardestyeric at netscape.net
Please let me know if you have any pictures of the bow and where you are located.
Thanks,
Eric H.
The main reasons you winterize are to get the water out of your lower unit, get any water in your engine treated by fogging, and to stabilize your fuel so it doesn't go bad. As long as there isn't...
If water temps are 86 you probably would have a lot better luck at night.
Eric H.
I would stay away from Waveland on the weekends. I've heard that they have a lot of tourneys there and the lake isn't that big. I would think Eagle Creek would be perfect or you could put in at...
If the other one doesn't work out, let me know. I have one in my basement. Shoot me an e-mail and I can send some pictures. ehardesty at netscape.net
Thanks,
Eric H.
There are plenty of good fish in Monroe and Patoka. You just have to know how to catch them. Why does everyone always blame the DNR when you go to a big lake and not catch fish? They aren't farm...
They are good motors. Expect it to use a lot of fuel if you put your foot in it. Parts are pretty easy to find. I had a 1989 200 and it idled well for an old carb motor. They don't require a lot...
Most of the ramps at Atterbury are only one lane (at best) so if there is a vehicle parked there it pretty much closes the lake down. I can see the fee. If I had driven to get to the lake and then...
I think your best bet is to get on the IBF web site and get Ken Gibbs contact info and give him a call. He should be able to point you in the right direction. You can find his info here:...
