I would like to find information about these tournaments so I can know what times they start and anything else. I don't think it wise to just drive to the ramp on Saturday morning and try to find a...
Are there any Saturday open tourneys this fall at Rough River? I think someone used to have one every Saturday through November or so.
I have a small club tournament on Nolin Saturday, 6 boats and all the other guys have fished it for years. Anyone got any pointers? Are they starting to move to the backs of the creeks?
Thanks...
Wish I could help but I only 40 minutes away and hardly ever fish it. Crooked creek was pretty good back in late spring but I really have no idea for now. Good luck!
I was/am new to ledge fishing last year when I went to KY Lake for 3 days in June. I had just got my boat in the spring after not having a boat for 12 years. I put 2 HDS units on it and read...
I have a small club tourney there Saturday and don’t know much about the Lake. Are they in post spawn pattern? Any creeks better than others? Any help would be appreciated
I bought this from eBay but I only gave $20 for mine. It's not a rope but it does help.

Admins need to get this lunatic off here.
By up close I assume you mean shallow on the banks? I would have thought they would pull off the banks with the water dropping.
No! I had a Custom Shop 58 Historic Les Paul but have since sold it.
Anybody got any reports from Nolin? I have a little club tourney there Saturday, maybe 5 boats, and I don't know the lake very well, only fished it about 3 times.
Navionics has a bunch of stake beds marked on their map.
Did your cousin say they are biting? The reason I ask is I have a good friend that lives in Okeechobee and fishes every day but Sunday. He said since the hurricane the artificial bite has been...
I didn't mean it had to be exactly 35' or in the winter.
I spoke with a gentleman yesterday that fished Dale Hollow this week and he caught some nice fish at 30 to 35 ft depth. I'm wondering since Nolin and Rough are similar to Dale Hollow as in deep and...
The 4 pounder came out of 8-10 ft. We fished a club tourney today and had 1 keeper and a slot off a jig. Didn't catch any short fish but the winner had 8+, not sure what he caught them on.
I caught the big one on a jig, the spot on a Texas rig brush hog. My buddy caught his on jig and spinnerbait. We threw small crank baits a lot and didn't get a bite.
Did you see me? I was in a silver and blue Skeeter. Anyway, it was slow but I did manage a 4 pounder and a keeper spot. My partner caught 4 short fish. That was it!
Any updates on Nolin? I'm heading there Wednesday. Anyone know the results from the tourney Friday?
By evidence are you referring to the "adjusted temperatures" over the last 20 years that have always been adjusted up and never adjusted down? Or are you referring to the hacked email scandal where...
Fished it today. Water temp was 59 early up to 64(I think) later in the day. Water is stained just about right. We caught between 15 and 20 bass, 4 keepers and 4 or 5 slots and the rest short. Swim...
We had a small club tourney there Saturday. 10 boats and 11.80 lbs won, but that is 6 fish. Water was stained in some areas but no debris floating anywhere we went.
Dude, you need to keep your global warming/climate change(or whatever they call it this year) hysteria off the fishing board. Go to one of your left wing boards and spout all you want.
How did you do? We had a small club tourney and it was tough. Seven boats and 8 lbs won.
Rough is 10 ft. above summer pool, fwiw.
I fished a small club tourney Saturday and Sunday out of Jonathan Creek. My partner and I had 16 lbs and change on Saturday. Should have had 20 lbs but had one flop out of the net and back into lake...
I would think they would be heading to the backs of the creeks that time of year.
I may be mistaken but shellbeds are usually associated with ledge fishing, which is a summer pattern. I wouldn't...
Any one fish either lake this week? Wondering if the bite is any better, may head down there tomorrow.
Anyone fish Lake Cumberland? Watched an FLW tournament there and seems there are a lot of smallmouth. I wouldn't mind going down and trying it but when would be the best time? Late fall and early...
I went to the south branch in Pisgah, I assume you mean the north branch? Like I said, I don't know much about Ky Lake or Barkley for that matter, and I just got back into fishing after being out for...
I did try topwater early in the back of Pisgah, but they were all white bass back there. I then tried deeper banks on the way out of Pisgah and the hump on Pisgah. I then pretty much gave up, went...
Anyone had any luck on these lakes lately? I fished it 3 weeks ago and again this past weekend and didn't have much luck at all. Someone said they weren't on the ledges anymore and I sure didn't find...
I'm heading down Saturday also, wondering if all the rain we've had would have any affect on the lake? I don't think the lakes actually got a lot of the rain but most of it went north and south of...
Nice video!
Do you sit in deep water and throw on top of the ledge and bring it down?
Also, what determines whether you fish Barkley or Ky?
I have the Navionics East Platinum Hotmaps
That was 2 of us that he guided and they may have been keepers, we didn't measure so they were close one way or the other.
Didn't mean to dish on Dave, just telling my experience. He didn't...
I went on 2 trips with Dave about 15 years ago and was not impressed. We caught 15 to 20 fish each time with maybe 4 or 5 keepers out of the bunch. Nothing bigger than barely a keeper. Granted we...
After being away from fishing for 12 years while my kids played every sport imaginable including travel baseball that took up practically every weekend in the summer, I have bought another boat. I've...
Did you say you were throwing into 25 ft of water? Was that the top of the ledge? Or were you throwing down to 25 ft and bringing it up the ledge into 15 ft. or so?
I've never tried this ledge and...
