I was told by a friend that was down there on the bank during Memorial day weekend that the walleye were hitting on nightcrawlers.
Going to give Monroe a shot Saturday night. Anyone help out as to where I should begin looking for walleye? Lures? Nightcrawlers?
Boca Grande in late May and real early June is the greatest! I "worked" several boats for a while when I lived down there..... Be sure your hooks are VERY sharp and your tackle can stand a jolt!...
Made the mistake of fishin' Rough one holiday weekend! Casting into the shore about 20' and a boat ran between me and the shore!
I stay home for the holidays from then on !

It's a tough spot but if you stop at the little parking area before the interpretive center and look down at the bank, there's a downed tree. Often causes a big enough break to hold fish!
I've heard from a DNR guy in Florida that worked in Ohio for a few years. He claims 5' and 6' cats in the Ohio and (he never saw one) but his co-workers claimed sharks were in the Ohio!

According to the DNR survey, the Cannelton pool is the best for sauger....... anyone have any info that might make it worthwhile heading down there? Or maybe even keep from heading down there!
Boatbum and I fished the Tailwaters at Kendall. River was running 6mph. We trolled into the current at about 1.5 to 2 mph and looked for "quiet water" when fishing downstream. Whites were stacked up...
