I see I still have one, been a minute.
I've been MIA for a bit but I didn't expect to come on here and see this! Sad to hear. He came to my house years ago before my first trip to KY and marked several spots on a map for us. super nice...
$1 per lb for fish over 15”
Was there Friday, temps had jumped to 72 and lots of empty beds.
Do all the corp ramps use the same pass? I have passes I keep for caverun and would keep me from stopping and getting another one.
Ran across this link to help with which ramps are fee and which are...
Any signs of fish moving shallow?
Thanks for the info!
Are the passes the same as the other corp lakes? I have a couple spares from caverun, will they work?
Do all the ramps require the parking permit? Coming from I75 is there one ramp more accessible than others? Been a lot of years since I was on Laurel.
1-606-678-8697 ranger info on fishing conditions
Sign me up too. I agree with the OP on this
I'm partial to walking baits and buzz baits, neither are complicated to use and can be had relatively cheap. I'm not afraid to spend a little more on a good top water bait because I'm less likely to...
Thanks for the info.
When's the ramp going to be usable again?
A little late but Friday it upper 50's-63 clear and way down. New ramp being installed and they're keeping it low till its completed around mid May from what I've heard.
Setter ridge outfitters in Bourbon county. www.setterridgekycanoeing.com

Check out www.universalmania.com
They have all the hardware you are needing at very good prices.
I have the same card and have only used it on Cumberland and I wasn't impressed with what I saw. Ok for basic navigation but that's it.
I was using 3/16 D&L with missile fuse about 4". Bites were there just couldn't keep them buttoned.
Below the spillway at Cave run and Frymans camp ground/boat dock in Bourbon county. Access is limited on Stoner and Hinkston in other areas.
Exactly, they're only $3 I stash a couple in the truck.
The Hampton inn. There are a multitude of ramps within a couple miles and they have an awesome breakfast bar. There is a Walmart next door as well as several places to eat.
LC Gun fish worked for me last year. This year I'm not sure dynamite would work.
$100 annual fee with some blackout dates
Are you fishing a club or open on Saturdays?
Its a decent catfish lake too, they have some size as well. Should of mentioned that in earlier post.
You're in luck if all you want to do is bobber fish. Don't expect any size but you'll get some good numbers of bluegill and crappie.
Call Calvin in Lancaster. He may come to you.
Yes, Frymans will allow you access to the upper part of Stoner and Strodes. They have a really nice set up with the bait/tackle store. Well worth checking out.
1\2 foot over summer pool. Seems like shaky head was the ticket for most of the people I talked to lately. Ours all came just inside the points close to channel banks.
Not sure if this has been posted yet or not, but I was told by the new owner that the ramp would no longer be open to the public. Sorry to be the barer of bad news or if this is a repost.
On occasion I use the Bill Norman speed clips. I prefer those over the traditional swivel style.
Facebook post yesterday said there was an absolute auction this Saturday or next on everything.
Green pumpkin, Cumberland craw, dirty sanchez, oops......are all colors I like this time of year.
Mild stain and 65 degrees. Several boats have been up the last few days
I haven't been on it in several years, I know it gave up a 6+ a couple weeks back. At one time it was second only to KY lake for fish over 10# per surface acre. I found it hard to believe but that...
I saw the shad in there last time I was on Cedar. I don't think it's possible to keep shad out of any impoundment, they're just too adaptable.
Id like get a couple smallmouth next time I'm there.
Fished with high school team yesterday. It was slow, there were some fish weighed though. Decent water toward the dam. Anything past Scott creek went muddy quick. Alfry and Scott were the only ramps...
Heading there soon, hope it's still on when I get there! Congrats on a great trip!
KY is my favorite, but I also fish caverun, cedar, Herrington, Barren, Green and some smaller lakes and creeks.
They have severely damaged the local fisheries. They were part of a project to return some native species back to their original habitat. Thanks KDFWR!!!
I've got the platinum chip. Works well for me. Like the features of the lake master cards too, but I think you limited to the navionics with lowrance.
Along with every other creek in the state.
Been some time since I was on it last, but I'm sure it still fishes the same. Has some grass, some weed mats, plenty of shore cover.
Thanks guys. Hadn't heard anymore about it and was wondering.
Did kdfwr ever follow thru on placing fish attractors in some of the areas of the lake that were bare of structure? I remember reading somewhere that they were going to do that over the summer I...
If you want well under $1000 check out the basspro ascend. Decent reviews, but I can't say I've used one. I figured for the money it was a good route to go if I ever get around to it.
Been a long time since I was there, but I'm sure the structure hasn't changed much. Unless they sprayed it there was quite a bit grass in several areas. The banks offer plenty of varying structure...
It's become a habit really, but it's definite on my spinning reels There's probably more benefit for them due to potential twist issues. I also on occasion in cooler weather place the new spool of...
I've done every new spool of floro like that. I have a swivel attached to a fence post just for this.
When I was there a few years ago the pontoons weren't very courteous then either. Not much has changed.
