If his scale is like mine, it can weigh in tenths or ounces. You can set it to way one way or the other.
Was this on a farm type lake, or a larger impoundment?
Nice bass. Good way to start the...
Rick, do you think the Float and Fly fishing is over? Just wondering, that's my technique. Have been down south for a few weeks and haven't seen any updates since all of the rain, warmer weather. ...
Another strange thing, last fall stopped on the way to a local lake, stopped to buy my wife her license.
Was told no more local sales, license only sold by phone now. Called and bought the license...
This may be a stupid question, But I saw something posted a few weeks ago about a price increase in the cost of license, and if you bought before the end of February you got the old price.
I cannot...
Went Thursday and Friday. Had 3 Thursday and 6 Friday. Had a 3-2, 3-6, 4-8smallmouth, and a 3-14 largemouth. Rest of smallmouth were 2-3 pounds. All of the fly. Tried everything else, never had a...
Staying at the lodge, so will be putting at the state ramp. Will probably be up your way tomorrow. You still have the center console? (I think that was you) I will be in a Javelin with Honda on the...
Am heading down Thursday /Friday. Went down two Thursdays ago and water temp was 44-45. Real slow day on the FNF. Will start with that this time, but also have other rods ready. Two weeks ago when we...
Are there any open ramps at Taylorsville, or it frozen in for now?
Thanks for any input.
I like #2 also for some reason. Great fish!!
Taylorsville, Dale, Nolin and Barren. Don't fish nearly as much as I think about fishing!!
Are these two tires still available? Do you know the age of the tires?
Thanks everyone for their input. I'm gonna put a couple of rods in the vehicle and see what happens.
Will have to get there first. Supposed to leave tomorrow early, but will have to see how Atlanta...
Heading to Clearwater later this week and wanted to see if any of you guys had any input on either freshwater or saltwater fishing in this area. Have done some looking online, but firsthand is always...
I have converted several of these bobbers.
1: Straighten the wire bottom and take the ends, weight, wire, and spring out.
2: Take an Xacto knife and cut the bobber in half where the color change...
Was going to try and run to Barren tomorrow, Tuesday, and just wanted to see if anyone had been on it lately. Is it in good shape? See that they are still pulling it .5 to 1.0 ft a day. Will that...
Congrats to you. If that is your biggest so far, it is your trophy. You can't worry about what others pull in. Keep at t, and they will continue to get bigger.
Again, congrats to you!!!

Another question, do you use different plastics for the two types of rigs? A more floaty worm for carolina rigging?
A Texas rig with a worm or other plastic is one of my go to baits. I usually use a 1/4 oz bullet sinker.
I've read the articles on the front page on Carolina rig fishing, but have never really used...
I have a 35 HP Johnson on a 16' Monark with key start. I want to install new cables for both the drive and idle controls. As close as I can measure, both cables are 10' long. The question is, are...
Have come to the conclussion that it is the prop slipping. Looks like the sleeve has moved 1/4" within the prop.
Put an old beat up prop on, it did not slip. Put newer prop on, it slips.
What now?...
Pulled the prop back off, but don't understand the "offcenter" ? Do see the rubber "sleeve" in the prop, but how can you tell if it is slipping?
Thanks,
Was on the lake yesterday, and had a problem for the first time. Made the fatal mistake of saying the motor was running good!!
When starting to excelerate, the motor revved up but something isd...
Thinking of going to Barren tomororow, Tuesday. Does anyone know if you can still launch at Beaver Creek?
Thanks
Going to try Green River tomorrrow, Wednesday the 2nd of Nov. Haven't been there in 10 or so years. Going to be bass fishing, wondered if anyone had any updated info on the lake? Thanks for any help.
