I find it easier to call the DNR. They will get back to you and give you good information.

The Licking River dumps into the Ohio at Covington and Newport. So they most likely came from the Ohio River.

The KY DNR is working on lower the Striper size limit to 22 inches. I read it on Fishin.com.

I remember reading about this Fungus several years ago and the article was about Smith Mountain Lake . They were worried then that it would spread to othe rFisheries and apparently it has came to KY....

That's the way I read it.

Check it out ahead of time. I think a 19 ft boat is more suitable for the Ohio end of the licking.
You need a smaller boat for most of it. Don't want to see you get in trouble and tear up the boat.
