Re: Rod Length and Action Question

"With that being said what length and action rod is a good universal rod for fishing crankbait, topwater, jigs and spinner baits.''

Although there are universal rods, that combo is pretty tough...

Monroe can be tough to fish.....especially if you don't fish it often....but it has good ones on both sides! The bass are in post-spawn and are heading towards their summer haunts. There is a lot...

  8. Re: Just In - Alabama Rig Legal in Indiana for 2012

The thing is you still have to throw it in areas where fish are....that is the main difference between good fisherman and most everybody else...they can locate WHERE the fish are!!!

    Re: Braid vs. rod guides

I love Power Pro myself. I know some guys do use a leader of mono or flouro, but IMO you lose the advantage of using a super line (braid) if you do so....strength vs line breakage. I use braid on...

    Re: fall fishing question

Another reason you see them using fluke type baits is water color....the water has to be fairly clear to use them.....they are great shad imitators...they would be great on the Alabama Rig:D
