    If you're lucky enough to get the gate spot first, its around a 30-40ft. toss. If you are nto on that spot it is still only a bit further, I have no trouble reaching it with a 1/4 oz. sauger jig.

    Haven't tried the KVD stuff but have been using Reel Magic and like it. I just soak a rag in it and re-spool my line holding the rag as a line tensioner. Takes all the chalk off as it conditions it.
