59 something everywhere I went today around Thomas branch area
Temp is 61 and laurel is always mainly clear. Hard to find stained water most of the time. Bass are getting ready to bed.
Water Friday was 47 to 49. We caught several nice LM 1/2 to 3/4’s of the way up creek arms. Jerkbaits and A Rigs seem to be the ticket. Hope this helps.
Water temp is 45 to 46 and the bites has been few and far in between. The water level is way up like in the spring and I’m guessing it has the bass all scattered.
Here are some bluegills me and the kids caught Monday at Cumberland in fishing creek. Caught them on night crawlers and honestly could have caught more.
Good report I'm going Saturday again unless I change my mind and go to Cumberland. Try to target bed fish I guess.
Caught several small mouth around 15" and a few Kentucky's around 13" Friday. Saturday fished a few hours and caught a 15" large mouth. It was pretty tough and seems they are starting to spawn. Water...
Going to put in at craigscreek tomorrow bass fishing I will let you know how it is. I was told the water is around 55 to 60 and bass fishing is still pretty good.
Anybody know how the fish are biting, I was wondering if the fish were starting to bed. I'm going to put in Saturday at Cumberland Point. Any info will help jus hoping the bite was still good.
Best fish of the day 4.38 smallie.
Put in at Cumberland Point and went up bee lick and all the way down toward Thomas Branch water color was clear. Wood floating everywhere but cleared once the wind picked up.
Anyone know what it looks like around Cumberland point area? What are some creeks around there that has fishable water color?
Usually I use a 6 something to one bait caster on a duckett or 13 fishing medium heavy rod 7ft.
Laurel Lake
Caught this 6.5 lb large today.
1 or 6 looks great
Has to be the Daniel Boone pass because I fish Cumberland also and it takes a Corps pass. You can get a day pass or a couple day pass for a few bucks. The whole year is like $30.
Craig's Creek and Hight Top doesn't require the pass but all the others do. Personally Flatwoods is the best place to put in and does require the pass which you can buy at the little store right...
I couldn't find anywhere that has punisher jigs but I think the L&M flies look identical. Cumberland Pro and Spro flies look just as good also.
I'm happy for you but what kind of job do you have cuz I need to work where you are lol. First the truck and now the boat, man I'm doing something wrong.
Anybody been doing any good catching bass here lately. Seems really tough to get any numbers. Fishing jigs is about all that seems to catch them. I have tried about everything but seem to come up...
That's about what I have came up with, I have caught a few on jigs. Good to hear I am not the only one struggling to catch bass.
What is the water color like after the rain we have had? Is the bass bite good right now?
Thanks for the info I guess I will be putting in at fishing creek in the morning about daylight.
Anybody been out in the last few days and seen if the floating debris has slowed down any.
I went Monday night and Tuesday night didn't do any good at all. Hooked a hog Monday night and lost him at the boat on a shakey head. Tuesday night my buddy caught a small large mouth on a jig....
The lake was 90 some percent clear of debris and some places was stained a little but over all good color. Hope you catch more than we did but by Saturday the water should be down.
Thanks for the info. I guess the cat fishing will be good and maybe a little tough on bass.
Wondering if anyone had an update on water color I will be headed there in the morning.
