    Re: Frying small trout

I spend a week at Laurel with friends every year. We clean 150-250 trout every year. If you slit the vein lengthwise with your fillet knife and then scrape down it with a plastic spoon it cleans most...

    Re: New to shotguns

I've never had any issue flattening turkeys with 3" shells. I did buy a 3.5" auto for waterfowling, but that's because of the extreme limitations of steel shot and Canadians are that tough. If you're...

    Re: Shed hunting

I saw two bucks last weekend that had already lost one side. Trail camera pics showed them on around the first of the year but they were gone by the 8th.

Mine was 128 lbs. There were two larger ones in the group that it came in with, but daylight was slipping away and they weren't providing clear shots so I took while the taking was good. Casey says...

I think on the fall call in show they said on Kentucky Afield that they are confirmed in 37 counties. Compared to just 1-2 counties ten years ago.

The general story from the folks in the town is that when ownership of a deer hunting lodge in the area was transferred about 10 years ago, the hogs started showing up on neighboring properties...

Just got back over the weekend from hunting with Larkin's Outfitters in White Plains, KY. Casey Larkins runs a no-fence operation for several species and his hospitality is phenomenal. It was the...

    Re: Barren or Nolin?

For the most part they were very shallow. All but 3 fish came out of 4ft of water or less. The other 3 were in less than 10ft. We caught about 10 less than 18 inches off the bank.

    Both of us threw...

Fished Nolin today from daybreak to 4. Was real slow most of the day, then got into several LM & white bass throwing rattle traps around the mouth of rock creek.

    Talked to some crappie fishermen...

    Bad Luck?

My wife not only let me go fishing, but went with me yesterday to fish the flats in Cancun on our honeymoon. Is that bad luck like catching a fish on the first cast?
