I hate night fishing so usually on a full moon i struggle either in the evening or morning. I have noticed that going into the full moon the evening is better and the opposite after.
Tough indeed. Had 1 fish all afternoon on a shaky head. Then as the sun got low we tried the a-rig down by the dam and caught 4 fish in the last 30 mins or so.
Pro qualifier reels are pretty good value at right around $100, i've had mine for 4 or 5 years now and its still holding up well. I really like the veritas rods, sportsmans has them 10 bucks cheaper...

There is a good population of shad in the lake, i've seen them on top from time to time. i guess despite kdfwr's efforts to keep them out of cedar they got in there anyway.
