  1. Re: IU vs Purdue Minnow Bucket tournament this weekend!

I think IU won. It was a rough day on the water with high winds and big waves. It was a deep water bite by the dam that seemed to be the best. I normally love fishing Waveland but water was down,...

Newton has been a fun alternative to Turtle Creek but I still wonder how the bass fishing is out there. From talking with staff at the lake, they advised they've been stocking it with bass each...

    Re: Turtle Creek Reservoir

Yes, it was on the warm side. They weren't generating at the time but the water temp was still 62 or so. Crankbaits and senkos were the ticket for us.

For what it's worth, I hit Newton yesterday and ended up boating 25-30 fish. Biggest were around 4.5 to 5lbs. Missed a number of nice fish, but that's fishing for ya! Still, happy with thsoe...

Amen to that one. I got a ticket out there a couple of years ago. Better have a horn or whistle as well as an up-to-date fire extinguisher or they will ticket you. Still, that lake is fantastic...

    Turkey,

TC has been tough but there are still fish in there. Bad thing about the lake's layout is that the amount of fishable water, right temps, depends on if they have both generators going or...

For anyone interested, there were 11 boats that turned out for the event. 13lbs took it to win and 3 other boats had over 10lbs. The boat that won had a sack with couple of smallies that were huge!...

Do you have to be a member of Indiana Smallmouth or is it truly an open tournament? Sounds like a good cause and good opportunity to get out for a bit.

    Re: White River/Broadripple

Smallies on the main river have been doing well. Find big rocks in slow current near decent depth and drag a crawdad jig by it. Won't take you long to get into some nice fish. Good luck!

It's right off of 62nd St. before you get into Broad Ripple, right behind the Library in the park. Just take Keystone Ave to 62nd, and then go west about 1/2 a mile. It will be on the right (north)...
