Thanks. Not far at all from you. Lived here a few years. Originally from Shelbyville and spend a lot of time in Louisville.
Getting ready for my annual trip to Barren next week. Thought I'd get on here and check out things. It's been a while. Looked at my last activity and it's been almost 2 years! Where does time go and...

Just got home from spending Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on the lake fishing 6a-4p each day. Today we were off the lake at noon. Mostly fished the main lake and in Skaggs Creek. Water temp ranged...
Heading there next week Monday through Thursday. I'd like to know water temps and color if anyone has been down there last cople of days.
Making my annual pilgrimage to Barren this morning. My buddy and I Plan on loading the boat this week with big green fish.
From Fort Knox you have access to several good lakes. All of them have great potential to give you some good days of fishing. If you are ok with traveling to Cedar then your gonna love some of your...
Hurricane has a mess of shad up there too. Last week the whites and lg were busting them. I'm sure the water is about out of there now though.
We were fishing main lake points close to channel and channel walls in the creeks. The fishing was tough. We were starting at 5am and going to 5pm. On Tuesday and Wednesday all the fish came before...
Around the state ramp the water has been clear. By the dam was dirty. Skaggs was muddy to dirty. Peter was stained

I have a 7'6" flipping stick and a 7' casting rod with the APX series and love them. I got mine at a discounted price as a member of KBF, but that was several years ago.
When the water temps start hitting the 40 degree mark the pigs start moving. I've had double limit days with a buddy throwing cranks in 43 degree water.
I agree with Mark. Reynolds is great and they do good maintenance as well.
Slow bumping crank baits all day both days. Actually the same one just different colors.
Depends on the bait you are using with it. What baits are you using on this rig?
A buddy of mine and I had a great two days on Monday and Tuesday. Had a double limit of black bass both days.
Fished all day on Monday to get the 12 keepers with the biggest being 4+lbs and about...

Thanks....just getting right for my kind of cranking
What are the water temps right now?
I like the BPS Extreme. I think they are the best for the money. Usually you can get a combo for a great price.
I tournament fish and eat bass. I don't see anything wrong with either one of them as long as they are done in moderation. Hence creel limits and shock surveys. Many of our lakes are "over-fished"...
Chartruse dynamite
That is a great website. It is also got a lot of other knots besides fishing. Thanks for the post.
WoW. This is great. Can't stop giggling.
What kind of prices you wanting? What kind of takle do you have?
Lake Shelby in Shelbyville would be a great place to take him. It's about 30 minutes from the Gene Snyder. There is a small launch fee and while your near the bird refuge it is no wake but the creek...

What's the lowest you'll take for it?
When is it this year? I haven't heard much about it. Actually anymore I'm so busy fishing other tournaments I don't take the time to look up stuff unless it is right in front of me.
throw some cranks or spinners. nice and slow and have fun. Water temp is around 50
That lake is really doing well this year. I fished a tourny there about three weeks ago with 18 boats. There were 8 fish over 5lbs weighed in with the biggest over 7. Gotta love this time of year.
It figures the cold would return the day of my next tourny. Oh well the story of my life. I didn't need a sunburn anyway.
Fished Rough today. Water temp was anywhere from 53-60 degrees. Good mixture of muddy and clear water depending on where you go.
OOH that water must have been cold. Nice find though
