Its almost time for the float and fly again...I think I ask this last year but is it effective on largemouth too? I dont live very close to dale or c-land and was wanting to try it out at cedar.
You dont have to get a nice set up right off the bat. I purchased a little martin 30 dollar one from sportsmans just to see if i liked it and have caught plenty of panfish and little bass on it!...
Ah Sweeeet! I picked the right fly without even trying, I must be a natural haha. Hopefully ill be able to get out for em next week!

Anybody got one?
My favorite is the same as fishin is life...they tear up relatively easy but they are the best ive found
I wont know what to do if they go out! Me and my grandad always go to the lake and panfish every summer...Popeye tipped with a wax worm. One of the most fun ways to fish! Cabin creeks are the best...
Thill makes a bobber SPECIFICALLY designed to turn over on its side... Anyway i agree with rich and catman. All it is is glorified bobber fishing!!! There is no reason to bash a guy simply because he...
THILL makes a slip float specially designed to turn on its side when those "ghost bites" occur
Also you will KNOW your fly is where it should be when the bobber stand up
...
Why is it such a big no-no to use a slip bobber when float and fly fishing?? There are so many pros to it! Can someone enlighten me on why?
The guys on the fly fishin discussion board here on fishin are great! helped me out quite a bit
I second anything made by shimano! They make quality long lasting gear, I have bantam baitcasters from the early-mid 90's that have never been cleaned that still run like a champ.
When do you guys recon the fnf will pick back up?
Keep Postin!!! I always enjoy reading your reports!!
Best. Jig. Ever.
Ive got a few of the shimano convergence, They are only $49.99 and you get a lifetime warranty. Not to mention that they are a very nice rod!!!!!! And my favorite I have!!
I completely understand if you dont wanna disclose, and if so just say its a secret but what kinda fly do you use? I just bought a fly rod and am still trying to figure the thing out lol. Id like to...
What about world fishing network??
The convergence is AWESOME!!!! I have one as my jig rod and love it!! I highly reccomend it. It also comes with a lifetime no questions asked warranty...even if you roll it up in your truck window...
Any body got one for up around georgetown?
I know this is crazy but ive never fished creeks for bass...Just ponds and lakes...
what do you use??
Burt.fishin :D
I have always had a lot of trouble fishing herrington. I just cant catch bass out of there. I usually put in at bryants got any tips? I typically throw jigs and worms, I think im on the right track...
djd- yeah they are just small marks from a sharpie pen
bplgocards- i would like to know the exact depth...different brands and sizes and bills can get a little confusing for me
I was thinking of putting small marks on my cranks for easy reference to the depths. Would subtract from their effectiveness? Basically, Is it GOOD OR BAD
They are great reels!!!
Best largemouth went about 5.5 outta cedar creek lake on a senko
i agree with smuckey. Nanofil rocks! I can cast light baits a mile. the sensitivity is great and it does have no memory. Its super strong too! Its good stuff!
zoom ole monster 10 inch candy bug. best big worm ive found
A friend of mine wants to get in to bass fishing and wants a good cheap baitcaster to start out. Any suggestions?? thanks
In my opinion its d&l without any close second
My favorite is the netbait paca and baby paca. I also like a twin tail grub type trailer or zoom speed craw. Never tried a beaver bait. Ill have to try that sometime! GOod luck, they are great jigs!
Ive tried a lot of jigs and the d&l baby advantage and advantage are the best!!!! For dale I like cumberland craw, oops, pbj, and wild thang. Good luck
I am up there with my dad every once in a while and wanted to go fishin sometime...anyone know of any good places to fish...ponds,lakes,creeks etc...thanks
