The wax motel is right next to the wax marina and boat ramp. It is pretty decent with good food and close if that's the ramp you are using
any one have a current update on nolin. heading there tomorrow to fish Friday and sunday. wondering what action is happening.
i have several of the bass pro qualifier reels and they are pretty good all around reels. if you have $100 right now i would recommend the carbonlite baitcaster. recently switched to these and i...
heading there tomorrow to bass fish. can someone let me know water clarity at the moment. will post update when I get back. thanks.
just wondering if the lake has settled down a little bit since the last couple of weekends. it has been a mud hole for the last two weeks. thanks.
anyone know if you can get up river past wax now. thanks.
Wax is usable. I put in there this weekend. Looks like you should be able to get up river.
I will be down there this weekend. Hopefully fishing on Sunday. Will let you know what is going on when I get back. Maybe someone will post general water color or temp.
Did you find 55 deg water on the upper end of the lake. That seems warm with the cold weather we had.
those are some nice fish. what were you all able to catch them on.
Define toy not nolin. Thinking rough up on north fork
those are nice fish but that one looks a hair under 10 lbs.
Fished nolin this morning around canaloway. Only managed 5 little bass. Nothing over 12". Started at mouth of the creek and then worked my way back. Caught all my fish midway back in the creeks....
I have an envirude 40 hp on a bass tracker I think it is an 88-89 model. This weekend I was running at full throttle at about 5000 rpm and then it started to spike to 8000+ rpm. From then on I could...
I wonder if the algae bloom is messing them up. Anyone still seeing the effects.
we get white, hybrids and largemouths in the jumps at nolin.caught plenty of good largemouth in the jumps. usually catch pretty good numbers of each but wasnt that good this weekend
They started a little at nolin this weekend but not that much
fishing was slow this past weekend. only managed a few small ones. water was pretty dirty up past wax. i think most of the females have spawned. have seen a lot of the hatchlings swimming around.
heading to nolin this weekend. anyone know the temp down there right now. i saw they were pulling the lake pretty hard to get back to summer pool.
Fished tonight for about two hrs before dark. Caught three little bass and a 6lb catfish on a crankbait. Also caught one on a jig and fluke. Water looks up way more than the 5ft they say.
heading to nolin this weekend to work on the camp but going to try and fish a little. probably only have time to night fish. any one know the conditions down there right now.
Nolin has a pretty good bass population with some good size. I do agree the jumps have declined in the last couple years
Water is way up right now. Crappie should be 8-12 ft. Not sure about the gills. I'm heading there fri. Will try to post when I get back
It was 43-45 deg last weekend. Probably hasn't changed much with this cold front
crankbait. it was around mid morning.
Guess nobody else was out that day.
Made it out to nolin this weekend. There was quite a few boats out there not sure if there was a tournament or what. Found water to be anywhere from 43 to 45 deg. Water did look a little less hazy...
I will be going after bass if I can find them. Will probably put in at moutadier if wax is bad
is wax the only accessable ramp right now? i plan on going this weekend. will give an update early next week.

anybody have one of these new units or know anything about them. just looking for overall review.
was there this past weekend and it looked like chocolate milk. walked down to the bank and fished for about half an hour but it was super windy and not worth it.
going to be at nolin this weekend and was going to throw a line it. on main lakepoints do you all think they are suspended or on the bottom with the conditions we have seen lately.
i always heard high speed to keep up the retreive so you dont get it snagged
i use the bps pro qualifiers. you can usually get them for about 70-80 bucks either in christmas sales or the major fishing sale they always run in feburary. i think whatever you go with you want a...

Anything going on at nolin. Thinking about getting down there this weekend if the weather is ok
fished nolin sat morning and they were in the jumps on the main lake. they were killing the shad and we caught 15-20 in about 2 hours. once 8am hit the bit slowed down. we caught the all off...
we fished rough today and got 10+ hybrids with the biggest being around 5lbs. all were caught on firetiger SR5. the hybrid bite was unbelieveable today. they stopped biting around 10 am.
