I can tell you the smallies and hybrids were happy at 59 Got into 'em pretty good midday. Biggest smallie was almost 4lbs!
I was getting 58 and 59 degrees Saturday
I think it's great you are taking him out. The experience is well worth it in the long run IMO. I too have an aspiring young angler I fish tourneys with at Cumberland and other places. We started...
I installed these myself last year. I cut out part of the rub rail center tubing and built up behind it with weather stripping. I think I would chose something with more stiffness as backing if I do...
I have bluewater led blacklight strips that work for me but I'm curious what others do for driving lights? I hate the idea of drilling into my hull like I see on many bassboats on Cumberland but with...
I bought the special deal. They are cool! My teen boys like the masks for skiing too.
I'll second what stripernut said. That is exactly what I saw. Fishing creek was dark, almost black but not murky - more tannic-like similar to Lake Okeechobee in Florida. I saw it sporadically in...
Good spots in and around Pulaski Co. Park in Fishing Creek. Can also access bank fishing at the old Alligator 2 Dock in back of Wolf Creek. There are other spots but those should be good this time of...
Took my son out early Sunday in Wolf. Caught 7 largemouth in about the first 30 minutes of daylight and then struggled with the wind, gave up by 10:30 and went home and cleaned my boat. All caught...
Perfect plan!
I certainly haven't call LC my home my entire life but I do consider it my home away from home. I agree the pressure seems to have gone through the roof. I'm sure the Bassmaster.com Top 100 rating...
Was out all day Saturday. Pretty much same story as everyone else. We did have one school out on the main lake come up several times but it didn't last long enough to get into them. They came up 3 or...
Called the hotline today and Ranger Ashley's recording says fishing is slow due to lake turnover. Anyone been out to give more details? I wasn't able to fish this weekend but will be next weekend....
No problem MHALL. But since you feel bad, feel free to send me your 5 best smallmouth spots for this time of year and we'll call it even! ;) Although I'll be camping with my sons Boy Scout Troop all...
Very possible. If you only knew how much my units have been giving me fits..........
I was getting anywhere from 67 down to 60 depending on which part of the lake I was on this weekend
Weather looks warmer all week. Heading down next two weekends to search for smallies. Sounds like they're still gonna be in transition - scattered. We'll see!
Well that's encouraging to hear it's moving down. Should be pretty good by the time I get there 10/10! Would think the fall bite would be kicking in pretty good by then.
Water was mid 80s Labor Day weekend. I'd guess it's not gonna see 70 for a while yet
Pattern definitely changes. Next moon phase takes them out a bit deeper. they can still be caught just not as likely on top.
Heading there in July for a weekend fishing trip. What patterns are best that time of year for LM? Spots? Should we try night bite? Thanks for any help I can get.
Caught 20 or so stripes and one walleye Sunday night. All on shallow crank / top. Find calm water with shad find fish. Midnight to 4:30 seemed to be the hot time. Shad spawn probably almost over.
Did you stay close or go out near islands?
