Yes a Prop guard should be used in the CR in the summer when the water is low. You will hit the bottom and you do not want to get into water its cold.

Hey Farmer when the water is high the deep-v is a great boat down there but when the water low and the dam is below about 7,000 cfs its way too big it may look deep but that river is hard to read....
