Can anybody tell me what the little thing the arrow is pointing to is and what it is used for.. it seems to be on most spinning reels with no explanation of it's function that I can find.

Thanks, I heard yesterday it still had ice on it, never crappie fished it earlier than mid march and wanted to try this year in feb but it seems mother nature has other plans.
Do the ramps have ice blocking them?
Crappie fished there today, not a lot of fish caught but did keep 17, most were 10" give or take an inch, only one bigger 12 1/2... Bad as the crappie fishing has been for me there this summer,...

You can't go wrong fishing in the shade, who needs fish anyway, I say the fisherman is more important than the fish.
I also have the mustang inflatable which is a type II

Yes we were using minnows, never went into beaver creek, actually started the day in north fork, put in at Bangor and fished up to popin rock, caught a few small fish and one a bit over 12 but...

Was at caverun yesterday and the water temp was mid 60's,.. We caught several crappie but it seemed to be slow unless you were sitting over a magic spot.

Was there yesterday and we brought 35 back with us and caught some small fish but other than finding a spot in buck creek we might have come back without any fish, nothing fantastic, mostly...
I have been fortunate in that I have never fallen out of a boat... that might be a bad thing, I am 67 and have a brother who is 70 and a couple years ago I bought two mustang auto-inflate life...
Does anyone know if the lake is muddy?
