Today the fishing was HORRIBLE! My father and I couldn't even get a bite for Crappie. We landed ONE six inch Crappie all day.

We did get one keeper bass and a flathead cat though.

We were there Tuesday and it was SLOW! We brought home a few Crappie. They seemed to be more shallow than deep as no deep spots produced fish. Cold front must have slowed them down a bunch. Water...

Wish I would have seen this before I was on the river today! Saw hundreds of them!

"They" are doing all they can. The F&W was shocking them just the other day near the great lawn. They are studying every possible angle.

I hooked into a few below the McAlpine discharge while trying for Skipjack that took my jig and ran. Couldn't do anything with them with the 6lb outfit I had!

I'm off that night. If you don't find anyone that you are comfortable with I'd be interested. I've never fished a tourney but would love to try my luck. Also not familiar with the area.

Was out there with my dad on Wednesday in the sun all day. We had good luck with minnows and curly tail jigs. Brought back 25 crappie.
