Water temp was in the low 80's. Caught 3 walleye. Two were small...less then a pound. But this one was a nice one. As soon as the sun came out the lake went dead.

I am sure they will be in there with the water temp being in the 40's but if you don't catch any, the mouth of the KY at the Ohio is a great staging point for them. There is a big hole there.

Be careful going up the lake and make sure you have a gps or map. As you move up the lake there is tons of submerged trees. Seen plenty of people end their trip early.

Did ok today. Found the Walleye and caught 5. Also caught about 30 big crappie, some small mouth, and a few small largemouths. Oh, and a 25lb drum. Though it was going to be the new sate record...

Fished today. Had to run up the lake to do any good. Caught 12. Nothing over 2lbs. Caught a few white bass also. Shad were right next to the shore.

Are any of the ramps at Laurel regularly patrolled? The Marina? Go there all the time and put in at Flatwoods or Marsh Branch and have never seen anyone patrolling that ramps.

There were at least 2 tournaments Saturday. Anyone know what weight won? Maybe I just can't fish.....

The only lake in Kentucky that has Stripers is Cumberland. All other lakes have Hrybrids, White Bass or the combination of the two.

You will need a pass. They sell daily, multi day, and annual passes. You cannot get them at the ramp. You have to buy them from a local store.
