Thanks, I took the front deck out very easily just to take a look. I'm taking it today to get an estimate. There is no reason to replace the deck as its in good shape.
I've got an 03 Tracker that needs some hull welding. Can anybody recommend someone that's does good work?
Thanks...
Got it.. thanks for link, some good stuff in there.
Looking at the charts, for Taylorsville on 7/15, it looks like the thermocline was around 11 - 12 feet. I marked fish deeper than that and even caught a few deeper this past weekend, any thoughts on...
There was one of them at Mckneely last year or the year before. Every time I went there it was in a different place, lol. I think it finally went over the spillway.
Went this past Sunday... temps were 62-65 about half a foot visibility and that was before this last rain. We caught three.. one keeper... Buddy lost one in the 3-4 range at the boat. Had about 5...
Lol, yeah that water's gotta be cold, but something about being young makes you do crazy things, lol. Did you figure out any pattern, I think we are headed down there in the morning?
[QUOTE=cpsniper05;483920 However, the thought and philosophy of C-rigging sounds much better than T-rigging but I guess its preference.
IMO, one is not a total replacement for the other. T-rig...
:)The more I use braid the more I like it, I use cheap mono for backing and preventing slippage just like the others. I use 40lb on baitcasters, 20lb on spinning gear. Braid will laster longer and is...

Anybody been there recently, what's the water look like? Thanks
I just put 40lb on one my jig rods, haven't had it out yet but have pitched around the house with it a little. This stuff is in a different category than regular power pro (which I liked), jig flys...
I tie a double nail knot to connect braid and mono. I bought a little tool several years ago that makes it easy. The knot at the lure will usually break before the double nail. BTW, is Nanofil as...
Thanks again everybody... a lot of good info here.
Thanks everybody... Do any of you all use straight braid? Do you all do more dragging or hopping?
This winter instead of reading every bass article I find I've been trying to focus on reading only articles about jigs. I have fished them on and off for a few years but have never gotten that good....
I've got my new carpet on order and should be here in a few days. A buddy of mine has an unopened bucket of marine carpet adhesive that he didn't use. It is about 4 years old, it came with his carpet...
I've got some regular PP on now in moss green, my only complaint is line watching. I want to try the new Super Slick and I see it comes in a lighter green (aqua), is that easier to see above water? ...
Went today, stained & high. Temp 53. Bite was slow, caught a few on rootbeer and chart cranks. Tried pitching jigs in flooded brush for a long time.... nothing.
I think I'll add this to my winter time boat upgrades as well (along with carpet and a bilge pump). What brand of recessed tray do you guys recommend?
I went yesterday. Caught six, two keepers. First keeper was my third cast of the day, spinnerbait on a laydown on a main lake point. Others came off rattletraps and shallow cranks back in the creeks.

Good stuff, nothing like watching your kids fish and have fun. My avatar pic is from two weeks ago, my 5 year old son with his first cat fish. He was pumped that he caught the biggest fish of the day.
lol, reminds me of those drug commercials. Side effects may include heart attack, stroke, blindness, hearing loss, and bladder control problems. But you are guaranteed not to have a runny nose.
Not sure, all I've bought is their copolymer line and it was priced right. I remember their fluoro being way to expensive to even try.
FYI, there was a thread a while back that Gamma had gone out of business. It has now been bought by Dark Knight Industries of Oil City, PA. Supposedly nothing has changed in the line. I know there...
State park at TVille? Is it open?
"Fishing is a blood sport that causes physical and psychological suffering,"
I agree with this, every time I go home skunked, I suffer psychologically and I'm always worn out (physical). I guess...
I just requested the Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network (WFN)...
I guess everybody is different, I actually still like Bill Dance. I know everybody talks about him fishing private lakes...
Thats crazy... and from there how much of the lake is visible, maybe a third of the lake? I was watching a point from a distance Thursday, waiting for a boat to leave... they did, and before I could...
What part of the lake was that?
Me and a buddy kept a boat from sinking at Barren a few years back. Nobody on the boat spoke a word of English and I was trying to ask about the plug and they...
I saw a Bill Dance show a couple of months back where he was casting parallel to some ice that extended out from the bank. He was slow rolling a White SB and catching some nices ones.
I don't...
Wow, I almost hate to post this after seeing the previous two reports. Either we are talking about a different Cedar creek, the bite has turned off, or I'm going to start taking golfing lessons, lol....
Meeting up with my dad in the morning to fish Cedar. Anybody know the water temps, color, etc.? Thanks
Lol, I hear stories of people catching 6 & 7 lbers out of there. I've caught em in the 3 - 4 range but not often. A lot of small ones though, and I mean small, lol. The fish in the video would crash...
I've always liked that bank, lol. Nice one.
Hit a pond this afternoon with a buddy, caught one ready to explode with eggs that was pushing 4lbs, two others went around 3. Ahh, nice to be fishing again. :)
I always take a look at Dave's KY/Barkley report and apply it to other lakes in the state. Of course there are sometimes lake specific stuff, but it'll get you in the ball park. I suspect a lot of...
I hope so, our club is at Nolin that week. :)
"Largemouth bass prospects at Taylorsville Lake should be brighter than usual"...
I think I started seeing that some late last year. It seems like Jul-Oct was better than normal but I was fishing...
Same here, went out with some buddies yesterday, we had two boats. Nobody caught anything. Water temp was 41-43. We went into one creek and found several large schools of shad just below the surface....
Thanks, what'd you get bit on if you don't mind sharing? Was it too murky for jerkbaits?
I picked up a Berkley Amp at Dicks for $30. This rod is very sensitive, as a matter a fact I like it about as good as my Allstar rods. The eyes look a little cheap, but I paid $3 for a one year...
Drove over the dam Saturday and it was completely locked up, it did get warm today though...
There was a tip in the last Bassmasters to make your plastics last longer when t rigging. Coming from the rod, put the line through one end of a small swivel, tie on your hook, thread the plastic on...
If she's anything like my ex try the kitchen, lol. :D
Thanks fellas, I downloaded the 200 page manual and have been trying to read up on it. I should have the fish finder by the weekend, looking forward to putting it on and trying it out. I think I will...
Finally decided it was time to retire my 10 year old fish finder with a broken lense and broken transducer bracket. I just bought a new model with GPS and it's on the way from BPS. I plan on reading...
Thanks Gary, I hear that alot about clear water. I want to try flippin with braid this spring, but I really don't want to tie leaders. It's a mental thing I guess, it just seems like that's adding...
