Cumberland striper charters fishing report.....good stuff and up to date
Check out the fishing report on cumberland striper charters.com.....its up-to-date and very informative
Thank you fellas. We caught about 15 fish on Sunday, so we did have some luck but not a single one over 15 inches. Guess the big girls didn't want to open their mouths for us.... There's always...
Jacobson Park and the pond off of Richmond road can produce some fish, mostly smaller unless you get ahold of a cat or carp. You can also hit up the river just south of Lexington but I never had to...
Anyone know what the bass are doing on Cumberland right now? I've not been able to get on them yet this year....and that is not due to lack of trying :D I'm planning on getting a line wet over the...
When you weighed it, it's tail was still laying on the deck lol. Add another 5 to 10 lbs!!

Here's a couple pretty tickled old farts :D
We go Smallie fishin at Dale this time each year and always have the most luck with live bait. Seems like they are usually around 30-35 feet instead of 40 but they have been a little strange this...
Fished the back of Fishing Creek earlier this week. Water was extremely muddy and the entire cove of Lee's Ford was frozen. We did do some ice breaking but didn't have any luck with the fish. Saw...
ProBass did have the Gizz 3 and 4 in multiple colors though. Might want to try ProBass in Russell Springs or Backwaters on the 914 in Somerset for the bigger Flitterbaits. All of them are darn good...
Cumberland ProBass doesn't have the striper sized Flitterbaits, they only have the smaller ones used for bass. I was in there yesterday and asked the guy at the counter about the bigger model. Says...
I just bought one of those Quantum kvd signature series reels and am really impressed with it. The adjustable brake on the side makes it almost impossible to backlash. The brake has 3 different...
Yeah, I might want to think about a glove next time....my girlfriend wasn't too happy with how incredibly smooth my hands were after that ;) Makes it hard to imagine how some guys noodle for those...
Thank you, seems like for me it's generally the nowhere more often than not haha
lol that's just battle wounds....you have to earn those ;)
Was fishin a Bomber Fat Free Shad about a week or two ago and thought I hooked into a new world record largemouth!!!.....I was wrong haha
...
I can generally find the smallies in the winter but have absolutely no clue of how to catch them this time of year on Cumberland. I've had a little bit of luck on Dale lately but I think that may...
Went down to Dale this past Thursday. We caught 5 all together, biggest was 2 1/2 but should have weighed 4lbs. I have never seen a smallie that skinny, especially from Dale. It's stomach was...
water is still up about 10 feet last time I checked. Definitely starting to clear up alot, creeks are looking good and the main lake near burnside doesn't look too bad either. Just about time boys!
Game wardens generally don't mess around too much when it comes to stuff like that. After hearing all this from you guys, I don't think that I'll need to worry about that happening again....better...
I guess I never really made the connection that it might be illegal. I had no intentions on keeping them, so nothing really felt out of place. I'll make sure to keep the rules and regulations in...
We generally do put them right back in, we had gotten into a good school of them early that morning so we thought we'd hold on to them for an hour or so to get an one really good pic. Didn't really...
Caught one 10 inch sucker yesterday that had 12 lb bronzeback written on the side of him. Might that be the one your talking about? :D
No one in my family has EVER taken a fish from Dale. That's holy water my friend. :)
Here is a lot better pic of the smallies on my public profile.

I've got a good pic in my public profile of them. Not awesome resolution but you get the idea. Didn't take too many, too busy catchin fish. :)
I'm not sure how to post the pic on here but I did put a good one in my public profile in albums, under Dale Hollow.....Just didn't have enough hands ;)
Not too much, it was mostly Kyle, Lick Run and Indian. We were catchin so many it was hard to get out of there.
Just got back from Dale Hollow yesterday. Caught 45 smallmouth, 1 spot and one 4 lb largemouth. Caught a half dozen smallies right at 5lb and plenty more about 4. Fished for 4 days, Saturday to...
Glad to hear you got the kids hooked up with a few fish. More than happy to help. That's an amazing spot that not many people fish, only trouble is that you have to fight through the small bass to...
Near Lee's Ford, just a couple miles from the Ferry Rd ramp. I could just meet you over there if you wanted to.

There is the mapquest directions for...
I agree with Rich, the Hatchery is a great place for kids to fish. Also the ramp off of Ferry Rd. in Fishing Creek is really good for smallmouth and spots. Just fish with crappie minnows on the...
Also if you after crappie minnows, I'll make sure to charge you less than you would find anywhere else in town. That's really the whole point here, bait prices have gotten ridiculous around here. ...
Don't have an actual store or anything. Although, we do have a commercial fishing license which allows us to sell bait according to the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. We can get bait anywhere from 2...
We do have wild suckers and creek chubs for sale, $6.00 a dozen. Carry them year round generally. Located near Lee's Ford in Somerset. They are generally between 4-7 inches long unless you need a...
If you are looking for large shiners, I've got what your after. We have creek chubs that virtually look exactly like a shiner but are much more durable because it is creek bait. Not to mention the...
Dad went over to Laurel today and caught a 5 3/4lb and a 5 1/4lb smallies on those wild suckers we been selling. Taken them down to Dale Hollow the weekend after Thanksgiving and hoping they'll rip...
GUMBY!! haha, I try to get that day off and be out there. Catch a few of them 5lb smallies and show ya how its done ;)
Dustin Case
I live here by Lee's Ford and can generally meet up anywhere locally...if your planning on fishing the south end of the lake. The bait is usually between 4-7 inches and I've been selling them for 50...
No problem at all StriperCase. Yeah I heard they were catching them in Greasy too. I caught a couple out of Fall creek this past weekend, seems like they have started to move out of White Oak or at...
I sell a lot of suckers and creek chubs but the 10 inchers are hard to come by this time of year. I can see what I can come up with though, if you let me know how many and when you would be needing...
I don't generally catch walleye that deep. However, I was out the other day fishing the mouth of a white oak on cumberland in 60 foot of water and caught a 5-6lb walleye off the bottom on a sucker. ...
Been catching alot of stipers in the back of the creeks. White Oak mostly. The bait is thick back there but they are mostly 1-2 inch thread fins. I've been catching mostly 5-15 lbers but I have seen...
Thats a pretty good distance away, wouldn't mind to meet you half way if you wanted a decent amount though.
Started using these baits for Smallmouth on Dalehollow 20 years ago. Smallmouth and Striper love them just the same.
We have them year round. You can get as many or as few as you would like. 50 cents a fish. The bait is generally anywhere from 5 to 8 inches long, unless you would prefer a specific size.
Tried it, Fedex wasn't too happy about the smell. ;)
Yes, we are a licensed bait dealer. We are located near Lee's Ford in Somerset, KY. However, if you need to meet somewhere within reason it shouldn't be a problem. Also we can generally get bait...
If anyone still needs bait, we are selling wild suckers and creek chubs at half the price you would buy stiper bait at baitshops for. Many local stiper guides to Lake Cumberland use this bait and...
